We believe in making design accessible and equitable for everyone.

Design de Plume understands the power of design to share messages of equity and inclusivity. We want to work with organizations that promote and advocate for women and gender-diverse folks, support 2SLGBTQA+ individuals, representing different cultural backgrounds, and support those with different physical and mental needs.

Together we can create a message that brings visibility to your cause.

Good Design is Accessible Design

Creating great design involves meeting both government legislated guidelines (AODA, ADA, and international rules) as well as considering the human perspective. Many people will experience an accessibility need at some point in their life and our team knows how best to address it.

Accessible for all with no one left behind.

Gender Equity

As both a women and queer owned agency, we are committed to projects that aid in the betterment and empowerment of women and gender-diverse folks. We are committed to creating designs that represent the 2SLGBTQA+ community with understanding and authenticity. In the past, we have worked on projects for E-Alliance (Gender + Equity in Sports), the Native Women’s Association of Canada, Her Music Award and The Equity X Production (part of SOCAN Foundation) and ArQuives (Canada’s LGBTQ2+ Archives).

Cultural Inclusivity

Because we are Indigenously-owed we are passionate about working with the many First Nation, Inuit, Métis, and Tribal organizations across Turtle Island. We also believe in creating ethical designs that advocate for underrepresented groups and the organizations that support them. In the past we have worked with the Canadian Council for UNESCO, the Lands Advisory Board, Indigenous Tourism Ontario and the National Council of Canadian Muslims.

Design Thinking in Education

DDP has worked with many educational institutions and organizations from junior levels to post-secondary as well as museums with a public audience. We pay special attention to how your organization approaches education and learning and we craft plans that work best for your students, visitors, staff, and professionals. In the past we have worked with the Royal Ontario Museum, University of Toronto, Invasive Species Ontario, the Canadian Federation of Students, University of Alberta, Canadian Apprenticeship Forum and Western University.
