Website
The Shine Network Institute (TSNI) is an Indigenous-led not-for-profit organization dedicated to supporting Indigenous women in the film, television, and media industries.
We partnered with TSNI to redesign and expand their website, evolving it from a simple landing page into a culturally rich, accessible, and interactive digital hub. Their primary goals for the new website were to create an inclusive, welcoming digital space, improve accessibility and usability, and increase visibility and engagement by improving SEO, driving traffic to their LMS platform, and encouraging donations.

How we helped
We worked closely with TSNI’s leadership team to ensure the new website would honour their vision and cultural values. We started with a full review and revamp of their content to make TSNI’s extensive resources easier to navigate and access.
Our new design prioritizes interactive and intuitive elements. The Medicine Wheel serves as the foundation for the site’s structure, with four quadrants to represent the four holistic sections of the site: Wellness, Training/Resources, Professional Development, and Spotlights/Mentorship. The middle of the Wheel is a prominent button to encourage allyship and donations to the Screen Arts Bursary.

Allyship online
The new website design balances cultural richness with practical navigation and functionality.
We emphasized accessibility whenever possible, with hover-over features and magnified text to create an immersive, user-friendly experience. Finally, we built in some flexibility into the design to allow TSNI to add new sections and content as the organization continues to grow.

Making a difference
The website redesign project celebrates the unique mission of The Shine Network Institute and lays the foundation for their continued impact in the screen industry. This redesign positions TSNI for success throughout the next phase of their journey.
